An Analysis of the Infallible Imam's States in Hereafter

The infallible imams are God’s vicegerents in the universe. Shias are most familiar with Imams’ states in the very material world, while the manifestation of all their states in this world is not possible due to its limitations. Using a mainly traditional approach, the present paper investigates and analyzes hereafter states and stations of the infallible Imams in three periods of intermediate world, last Judgment and heaven. The most important findings show that Imams (peace be upon them) are God’s authority over His servants in all three worlds and have special states among which are mediation of grace, reckoning the servants’ deeds, dividing the heaven and hell.
