Verdicts of divorce(=hištan az zanīh) in the Mādayān ī hazār Dādestān

Madayān ī hazār Dādestān is one of the most important social history sources of Sassanid era. In Madayān, verdicts of divorce is mostly related to legal process of divorce and how do it, as well as to the separation of property and disruption of economic partnership of couple. Except for two cases, a specific cause for divorce is not expressed. The main questions of this paper are that whether lawyers of Madayān considered in divorce to the woman's rights? If the right of woman is regarded after divorce, what are the men's attitudes about it? In the investigation it is specified, that lawyers are employing uttermost of mind and sense /reason in the sentences of trials until woman support after divorce. But through of verdicts could receive that, sometimes men were using the legal gaps with different tricks, such as applying for non-compliance and conveying income belong to the wife as gift. In fact, theywere examining their chance on possession of woman's property.The achievement sociological of jurists include: emphasizing full satisfaction of the woman and pay attention to the character of woman's rights in possession her property for supporting security of social and psychological her after divorce.
