Meta-analysis of studies of the relationship between the police performance and social security sense

The aim of this study is to apply meta-analysis method combining the results of studies to investigate the relationship between the police performance and feeling of social security.
This study has been done using quantitative meta-analysis. The population includes 75 cases of studies on relationship from the police performance and the feeling of social security, between1387 to 1395 in Iran. Through purposive sampling, 29 studies published in valid journals suitable for meta-analysis were selected as sample.
Findings: Findings suggest the heterogeneity of effect degree and no bias for publication of reviewed studies. Coefficient of effect degree and moderating role of gender variable were evaluated by using of the second version of the CMA. The results showed that the effect degree police performance affects feeling of social security is 0/417. This coefficient for men (0/526) was higher than women (0/403), meaning that police performance has a greater impact on men than women's feeling of social security. In other words, the feeling of men security more than women is affected by police performance .
According to investigation, finding the police (institutions and agencies)performance through commitment and adherence to moral principles, ethical values and civil rights, accountability, organizational transparency, providing trust, social participation and social reproduction and reinforcement of social capital could be the missing link to explain and solve the problem of social insecurity .
