The theme of love in Gilaki songs

Research in songs is an effective method for understanding folk culture, as it has a human and national sources. This paper aims to study the Gilaki love songs and analyze their contents, meanwhile detect their hidden layers in order to understand thoughts, beliefs and their moral values. Thus, folk songs are divided into analytical units, then follow by results are achieved via interpretation and extending the related contents which show the following features of Gilaki love folk songs: mediating interaction, avoiding violence, dignity and modesty, respect to women, tradition and moral commitment in the simple verbal form and native images, using simple literal similarities and avoiding complexity are among the most important features.
