Evaluation of the Maturity Level of Human Capital Management in Higher Education

Abstract:
The primary purpose of this study is to determine the status of human capital management practices in faculties of management and psychology and education university of Tehran. The present study is an applied research in terms of aim, and is a descriptive-survey research in terms of data collection .So, 118 employees were chosen through stratified sampling. They completed human capital drivers questionnaire (Bassi & Mc Murrer, 2007). Data was analyzed through independent-samples t test and one-sample t test. Results indicated: Comparing the mean score of faculties of both courses revealed that faculty of psychology and education in contrast with faculty of management was significantly greater in learning capacity and knowledge accessibility. There is not a significant difference in the dimensions of leadership practices, employee engagement and human capital optimization among the faculties of management and psychology and education. Generally, human capital management drivers status in faculty of psychology and education was higher than average and in faculty of management was average.
