Expressing cognitive phenomenon of Social Trust dimensions and effective factors on it (case study: district 7 of Tehran)

Abstract:
Social trust has been conceptualized both as individual and social communication features and as social system freature with an emphasis on behavior based on interactions and individual orientations. In this research theories and viewpoints of experts such as Gidnes, Luman, Barber, Eisenstad, Coleman, and Fokoyama about social trust would be reviewed. After analyzing the social trust status, the most effective factors on the social trust in Tehran have been clarified. This research has been conducted by means of measuring method as well as questionnaire tools. The statistic population of the research are Tehran citizens living in district 7 which has included 384 subjects and with Cokran Formula. In this research simple random sampling method has been employed. Results of the research indicate that social-economical base, feeling secure, using mass media, common values, and normative coherence bear a direct relationship with social trust. Finally, it can be said that social trust variable is predictable if such variables are employed.
