The Effect of City transportation lines on the violent traffic behaviors of the citizens (case study: district 22 and 6 of Tehran)

Violence is defined as using physical power to put others in a position contrary to their wants. Violence causes stress in people as well as their insecure feeling especially weak and vulnerable groups. Violence 13 normally considered as a conscious behavior possible consequences of which is causing physical damage or pain in others. This research aims to identify the effect of city transportation lines on the violent traffic behaviors of the citizens. In other words, these violent traffic behaviors can be prevented by organizing city infrastructures, traffic engineering, city environment design as well as geometrical reformation of the lines. The method employed for this research was causal - comparative effect of independent variable (city transportation lines) on the dependent variable (violent traffic behavior of the citizens) by means of measuring technique as well as questionnaire data collections tools. Our statistic population was Tehran citizens of districts 22 and 6 which have been selected according to their urbanization principles (district 22 as containing urbanization principles and traffics engineering and district 6 as not considering such principles in construction). Citizens living in these two distinct have been selected by random-clustered sampling with 384 subjects and employing copy 21 data analysis of SPSS software. Finding of this research indicate that the degree of exposure to violent traffic behavior in district where its transportation infra-structures (city transportation lines) havent been organized (district 6) is higher than the district in which traffic engineering have been considered in it (district 22).
