The relationship between the identity process styles and educational achievement with mediating role of public health among female and male pre-university students

The purpose of the recent research was to consider the meditate role of the public health and the identity process styles and educational achievement in the public pre- universities in Marand. The research method was survey and its kind was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of the research included all the students of female and male pre-university schools in Marand city (1034). 285 students were selected as a sample size on the basis of Morgan table. The method of sampling was stratified sampling which was appropriate to sample size. To collect data, the Goldberg and Hiller General Health Questionnaire (1979) and a Berzonsky Identity questionnaire (1992) were used. Cronbach's alpha test was used to assess reliability of research tool test that the reliability of the public health questionnaire was0.825 and the reliability of identity questionnaire was 0.756 and the questionnaire validity was confirmed by experts. Descriptive and inferential statistics tests were used to investigate research hypotheses. The research findings showed that there was a significant relationship between the identity style and the students’ achievement (p= 0/027 0/05) and the mediating role of public health in relation to identity style and achievement.
