Measuring Intergenerational Poverty Trap among Generation Age of Woman Headed Households

Abstract:
Poverty, in general and women’s poverty in particular is among social problems, which have been subject to be mitigated through measures. The results of statistics show that poverty is more common among women. This research aims to study generation age women’s poverty traps through typical pattern of data building pseudo-panel. The designed pattern by combining data from cross-sectional household budget traces the behaviour of generation born during the years of 1931 to 1971 for 21 years. The sample consisted women headed households and born during the years of 1931 to 1971 so the total sample size of this study consisted of 18682 people. STATA software and ordinary least squares (OLS) helped to analyze data. The results indicated that during the mentioned years, women who have average income levels do not fall into the trap of poverty.
