Study of the Effective Parameters in Designing the Formed Projectile

Abstract:
The formed projectiles designing is a very accurate process and it is possible to gain a proper and integrated projectile by only considering lots of points and experiences in designing and manufacturing the projectile and paying attention to various effective factors on the final performance. In this study, the intensity of quantitative and qualitative effect of each factor has been investigated, as it shows that the velocity of the projectile would be increased about 6 percent, by changing the initiation from single to annular, and the velocity of the projectile would be increased about 10 percent, by increasing 30 percent of length to diameter ratio, and the velocity of the projectile would be decreased about 1 percent, by increasing about 1 degree in liner angle.
