Determination criteria for Spousal alimony

Family has a very important key role in human's life. On the other side, undoubtedly its health and permanence depend on sharing the work and delegating responsibilities among its members. Based on religious orders and determined laws, the responsibility of family member's financial matters e.g. the wife, is on the husband. However, there is a disagreement among jurists for criteria of determining the amount of alimony. Shiite jurists have defined the dignity of women as the determination criteria. They believe in determining alimony the wife, family dignity of her must be considered. A group of shiite and sunni scholars believe is necessary to the dignity of both wife and husband together criterion for determining alimony to be considered. In this article, after investigation of reasons for various opinions, the writers concludes that the spouse dignity can be defined as the criteria and in the case of proving such opinion, it can be so effective in dealing with family disputes.
