Seasonal Changes of Photosynthetic Pigments and Proline in Haloduleuninervis F. Sea Grass from Persian Gulf Region

This experiment explored the impact of seasonal changes on the activity of photosynthetic pigments (i.e., Chlorophyll a, Chlorophyll b, & Carotenoids) and proline on Haloduleuninervis sea grass. The results indicated a decrease in Chlorophyll a during the spring and summer and a decrease in Chlorophyll b and Caroteniods during the fall and winter. Furthermore, proline measurement revealed that its amount in root was less than leaf and that the maximum amount of proline in leaf and root belonged to the spring and summer.
