A Survey on Relationship between Resilience and Burnout amongst the Academic Librarians: (A case study of Academic Libraries in Kermanshah)

Abstract:
Purpose
The research Purpose is to investigate the Relationship between Resilience and Burnout amongst the Librarians of Academic Libraries.
Design/methodology/approach: this is research survey and the solidarity. The study population included all public universities librarians in Kermanshah with 43 people; The instruments included questionnaire Jackson Masalach Burnout Inventory (1981) and Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (2003). Data analysis was performed using correlation and regression analysis.
Findings: The results showed that resilience and strong relationship with burnout. Resiliency was similar in men and women. No significant difference between men and women, as well as in burnout. Burnout in staffs who were employed on a contract basis was higher than the officials. Variance between any of the occupational groups from the view point of resiliency wasn’t significant.
