The effectof intensive endurance exercise and probiotic yogurt consumption, on Aerobic, Anaerobic, White blood cells, Lymphocytes, Monocytes and Neutrophills in young Football players

Abstract:
Aims: Aim of this study wasinvestigate the effect of intensive endurance exercise and probiotic supplementation on aerobic, anaerobic power, white blood cell (WBC), lymphocytes (LYM), monocytes(MON) and neutrophills (NUT) in young Football players. High-intensity exercise cause to infection diseases, special, upper respiratory tract infections (URTI), also cause longer treatment duration in athletes. There are many beneficial bacteria in probiotic supplementes that helps prevent infection. This study was semi-experimental, 36 young Football players with hight 172± 0.77cm, weight 66.76±5.87kg and BMI 21.27±2.09kg/m2, randomly assigned into control (n=18) and experimental (n=18) groups, Medical examinations and physical fitness tests before and after training done. They performed a training program for 8 weeks, three times a week, every session 90 to 120/min. Exp group consumption 400 ml probiotic yoghurt of Pegah company one hour before every session of train. Both groups trained aerobic exercise with 60-75% and anaerobic with 80-100%(MHR). Blood samples were taken four times for determine of variables. Finally to compare of data U Man Vitne and repeated mesurment test we used. Initially, before the training program, there were not significantly different amounts of variables. After 8 weeks, in exp group levels of lymphocytes and neutrophils significantly increased. There are not any report about URTI infection. 8 weeks train improved aerobic, anaerobic power and reduce the incidence of URTI after ingestion probiotic yoghurt. We can recommend to the athletes consumption ofprobiotic supplement daily when train intensive endurance exercise.
