Abstract:
Purpose
The main purpose of the present study is to investigate the effectiveness of Mindfulnessbased techniques and self-regulated learning on test anxiety among the female students.
Method
For this purpose, a quasi-experimental method was used. The statistical population of this research included 193 female students of Zainab-e Kubra Higher Education Center of Kazeroon. The sample included66 students who suffered from higher exam anxiety selected through purposeful sampling and then they were randomly divided into three groups of 22 including mindconsciousness training, self-adjustment training, and the control group. The two groups were trained by Mind-consciousness, Self-regulated Learning techniques and then three groups were tested for test anxiety. The present study used the questionnaire by Abolqasemi et al. (2006) to collect the data. The data analysis was conducted through Independent samples t-test, one-way variance analysis, and Tukey post hoc test.
Findings: The findings indicated that mindconsciousness and self-regulated Learning were effective in reducing the student’s test anxiety and the former proved to be more effective than the latter in terms of reducing the stress among the students.
