Investigating Factors Affecting Police Social Capital

Abstract:
Background And Objectives
Social capital is the source for organizations and individuals to achieve their goals. Therefore, it plays an important and sometimes essential role in the formation of social capital and its consumption. The present research was conducted aiming at investigating the social capital of I.R.I Traffic Police from the viewpoints of drivers Tehran.
Methodology
The present study is a quantitative survey study. The statistical population of this study is all drivers of Tehran city. 384 individuals were selected based on Cochran formula using simple random and cluster sampling methods. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect data. The reliability of the dependent variable was .761 and the mean of independent variables was .821.
Findings and
Results
The results of this research show that there is a significant correlation between social capital and social trust, and social participation and social interaction. The overall results of the research showed that social trust had the most impact and social interaction had the least effect on the production and reproduction of police social capital.
