Evaluating environmental quality of walking- based urban spaces and social responding (case study: Ferdowsi Street of Ilam)

In today cities, attention to social dimensions in urban plans is leads to health civic life and health urbanism life more than other factors. Existing capabilities and environmental qualities to understand and receiving space and also cession and presentation of people in urban spaces are leads to appearance in low level and a level higher than social cooperation's and communications. Indeed focus is on environmental qualities lead to efficiency and refreshes of urban environment, continuance of urban life and empowering social investment. One of the most important scales in city evaluation and urban environments is quality of general urban fields and it is unavoidable that quality of these spaces is scale of evaluating quality of urban spaces to determine the rate of city appropriateness. One of the methods that were used to evaluate quality of civic spaces from old decades is indicating determined parameters as qualitative parameters that they finally referred to appropriateness or inappropriateness of environment by evaluating components. The present research was done by aiming evaluation environmental quality in walking- based urban general spaces and social responding by descriptive- analytical method. The main variables of the present research were considered in relation to satisfaction conditions of citizens from social responding to environment quality and present factors in the present research by considering physical and per formative dimensions. The findings show that the mean of responding social satisfaction is lower than average level that show the dissatisfaction of citizens from spatial quality and inappropriateness of designed spaces with citizen needs in Ferdowsi Street.
