Locating the cultural using AHP technique and Network Analysis Region under study: District 8 of Karaj Metropolis

Increasing growth of urbanism and urbanization, regardless its reasons, has caused populated areas change to cities, medium cities become larger, and large cities become metropolises. Accordingly, while cities become larger, the problems they may face will be bigger and their planning will be more complex. One of the most important urban facilities, considering its social, educational, and services, is cultural facility. The purpose of this study is locating the cultural uses in the region 8 of Karaj by using AHP and N.A techniques which was done through a descriptive-analytic method. The results show that there are 446610 square meters of cultural area missing in this area, and many neighborhoods are deprived of access to cultural exploitation. In addition, some of the criteria for cultural location are not met.Finally, using location standards and AHP technique in the region 8, prone lands were selected for establishing above mentioned facilities. Then using Network Analysis (N.A), the network coverage type, performance radius, and accessing different areas to cultural facilities were identified.
