Teaching philosophy for children

Abstract:
Childhood is one of the critical stages of human life. In the world that many adults suffer from physical and mental diseases¡ attention to sensitive stages of childhood and adolescence for teaching philosophy to people is a necessity. For teaching thinking to children¡ one has used various plans. One of the most effective plans which has been widely used is plan of philosophy for children. Philosophy for children may be the newest and biggest step for trying the operationalizing the philosophy and practical training of critical thinking with the aim of fostering the skills of reasoning and judgment and ability to distinguishing. This plan is an obvious example for application of philosophy in didactics¡ however it has a slight difference with other plans of practical philosophy and that is this plan tends to help the students to do the act of thinking by themselves and solve the problems on their own. In the following¡ one points out the attitudes dominating on philosophy curriculum for children. The general objective of philosophy curriculum for children is establishing philosophic discussions through creating research society at classroom level. Meanwhile¡ one mentions various studies in this area¡ and we concluded that teaching philosophy for children is viable and necessary and it is recommended to consider it as one of compulsory curriculums for students.
