Effect of interpersonal communication skills training on self-efficacy of bank employees

Abstract:
Purpose
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of interpersonal communication skills training on the anxiety level of bank employees.
Method
The present study was semiexperimental with pre-test and post-test design with control group. The research population consisted of all employees working in the banks in west of Tehran in 2016. The sample size was 30 people (15 people in each group) who were selected by available sampling method and were tested before and after the research with Sherer Self-efficacy Questionnaire (1982). Ten sessions of communication skills training were conducted on the experimental group. Covariance analysis of single variable was used to analyze the information.
Results
The comparison of the averages of the two experimental and control groups showed that the implementation of the independent variable increases the mean of self-efficacy scores in the experimental group compared with the control group (p

Therefore, it can be concluded that communication skills training can be effective in increasing self-efficacy.
