The role of in-service training on the development of social capital and the teacher's components of the social capital

In recent years, the term social capital has been used consistently among theorists. Social capital, the underlying importance of strong networks, reveals relationships of trust and cooperation in communities. These capitals will be developed with training and will lead to improvements in the status of the organization. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of in-service training in the development of social capital and the components of social capital of secondary and vocational school teachers in Isfahan city; their total number is 4,553; and 351 as a sample, using Morgan table were selected. The used tool is a researcher-made questionnaire, which is based on the dimensions of initial of service and in-service trainings and indicators in intellectual capital and social capital. The reliability of this scale, using the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, is 0.93, and its formal and content validity has been confirmed by the relevant professors. Also, in the statistical analysis, one-sample t-test and ANOVA test and Tukey's post hoc test were used for analyzing the differences. The results showed that in-service organizational training plays a more than moderate, positive and constructive role in the development of social capital and components of the social capital of teachers.
