Comparative Typology of "Non-Triangle Wood Inlay

Wood Inlay usually known with triangle wood inlay and one of the finest Iranian wood arts but Inlay has numerous techniques that they have not any relation with triangle wood inlay and they are created based on different geometric design. Unfortunately, in most cases, there are mistakes in the identification and classification of them. The main purpose of this paper is to accurately classify and comprehensive introduction to traditional practices and new highly valued development of Square Wood Inlay and non triangle wood inlay and compare these methods results with others, so that exclude the possibility of interference of its products with other disciplines. So, in this study aims to obtain information necessary to analyze and identify the methods using careful observation of objective and field studies (in vitro). To this end to collect information is used from objective, field, library and laboratory, methods. Finally, obtained reliable the end results with describing and analyzing data, in this research. These results suggest the existence of diverse species in wood inlay and identification and resolution of some other branch that they have taken in the inlay family because of some similarities, while they are different in general with this branch of art. Resuscitate "Arrange Strip" art and presentation of two new "Square Wood Inlay" techniques, are other results of this paper.
