First record of Ogma floridensis (Nematoda: Criconematidae) from Iran

The genus Ogma Southern 1914 belongs to the family Criconematidae Taylor, 1936, that can be differentiated from other genera of the family by its offset head annuli, vulva closed and presence of 6-26 longitudinal rows of appendages of various shape on cuticular annuli of both females and juveniles. In ongoing faunistic studies on plant parasitic nematodes of Zanjan province, one known Ogma species was recovered from rhizosphere of poplar tree in Shilandar village, Zanjan province and was identified as Ogma floridensis Vovlas, Inserra & Esser, 1991. This species is reported from Iran for the first time and described here.
