Hazrat Zahra's (S) Style of Child- Rearing
Author(s):
Abstract:
Raising children who have a healthy and stable personality and can play a productive and useful role in society is one of the most important concerns of parents and the basic program of families. Obviously, achieving this important goal requires a reliable and guaranteed model which is well-matched with the child's mental and physical conditions and can lead to favorable and satisfactory results. In order to achieve such educational pattern, the best and nearest way is to use the source of Revelation and the pure and infallible household of the Prophet. Hence, using a descriptive-analytical method, this paper investigates the life of Hazrat Zahra (sa) in the books of tradition. What can be learned from this research is that in her style of child rearing, Hazrat Zahra (pbuh) focused on the material and spiritual needs of her children and their upbringing in both material and spiritual dimensions, because in child-rearing, not only the physical, but also the devotional, affectional and doctrinal aspects should be considered and the starting point is mother's lap.
