Study of Oil Refining Company Competitive in The Post-sanctions period through Measure of Products Support Indices - The case study of Isfahan Refinery

Iran after the pressure of economic sanction and execution the joint comprehensive plan of action(BARJAM), faced opportunity to active presence in the global economy and advantaged industries is condition for successful. Review and Assessment the competitive power of original industries it’s necessary to development and implementation of major policies. Iran's oil industry and companies covered is one of the original industries becuose of its high share of oil in energy and other industries and in the national economy in the period after the implementation of BARJAM that need attention and support by the authorities. In this descriptive-analytical study that based on financial statements ending on the thirtieth Esfand 1391 to assessment the competition power of Esfahan oil refinery company has been measured and analyzed the protective coefficient indexes including Nominal Protection Coefficient of Output(NPC), Nominal Protection Coefficient of Input(NPCI) and Effective Protection Coefficient(EPC) obtained from three selected products, i.e. petrol, kersion and oil gas. The results show that nominal protection coefficient of input is less than one and it means that protection inputs have been protected. Nominal protection coefficient of three outputs is also less than one and its means that outputs have,nt been protected. Effective protection coefficient of three selected outputs is less than one and it means that production of these outputs haven,t been protected and also indirect tax has been imposed in production of these outputs and continuation of this situation would damage the competitiveness of the oil industry in the post-sanctions period.
