Material and
Methods
This scientometric and webometric, from a variety of survey methods, investigated the status of male and female scientific productions and the status of open access and non-open access papers in the web in the field of nanosience and nanotechnology (N&N) using comparative approach. Research population consisted of all female and male international researchers in the field of N&N, contributing three or less than three papers from 2007 to 2009.
Findings: The results showed that there was no significant difference between female and male international researchers in terms of the mean of the open access papers and impact factor. However, there was significant difference between the frequency of male and female researchers in favor of men.
