Teacher Training Curriculum in the Age of Information and Communication Technology

Abstract:
Today, the present century is a change from industrial society to post-industry or information society, and information and knowledge are the most basic wisdom of people, societies and nations. The use of new technologies has brought great potentials in technology-based education, which can be used in teaching-learning processes and the provision of new excitement facilities to promote changes in methods of Educational Effectiveness. Information and communication technology can be used as a powerful tool for improving the quality and efficiency of education that changes the traditional method of teaching, and assist teachers in improving the teachinglearning process and relizing the implementation of an efficient and effective curriculum. The present article is a descriptively-analytical study that aims to explain the components of teacher education curriculum in the era of information and communication technology and is written based on library research. The main results of the research showed that teacher education curriculum in the age of ICT is in such components as: Educational goals including lifelong learning and creative thinking; Learning Process includeing inclusive learning; Educational Process involving the use of multimedia educational content; Learning Environment including flexible, active/exploratory learning; Role of the Teacher, including facilitator, supporter and protector of all learners’ needs and Inclusive Role including self-concept solving, problem solving, life-long learning competencies and etc.
