Comparative Study of the Fifth Grade Elementary Mathematical Course Book with the Mathematical Course Book of the Academic Year 2014-2015

The purpose of the present study is to compare the comparative model of the fifth grade mathematical course book with the mathematical course book of the academic year 2014-2015. The method used in this study is content analysis and the statistical population is the mathematical course books of academic years 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. The findings of the research showed that the new fifth grade mathematical course book has a meaningful change in the book comparing to the previous one, and it focused on the students’ needs. The analysis of the images also revealed that the new fifth grade mathematical course book is richer in terms of images than the previous book, and images of sport, study, and Iranian culture and identity were more visible in the new mathematical course book.
