Role of Theory of Mind and Emotional Competence in Symptoms of Social Anxiety Disorder: Mediating Role of Social Competence

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of theory of mind and emotional competence in symptoms of social anxiety disorder by mediating role of social competence. A study population of 300 female students from the high schools of Tabriz was selected by multistage cluster sampling technique. The questionnaire of social phobia (SPIN), social competence scale (felner), interpersonal reaction inventory (IRI) subscale of perspective taking, and profile of emotional competence, were used in order to collect data. Data were analyzed using path analysis.
