The role of trans-national powers in the divergence of Iran and Egypt in the period of Gamal Abdel Nasser during the years(1955-1960AD)

Message:
Abstract:
regional and international powers despite the various internal reasons, seem to have played a significant role in relations between Iran and Egypt in the era of Gamal Abdul Nasser in the 1960s. After the Second World War and the bipolarity of the world, both Iranian and Egyptian governments joined one of two blocs of the West and the East, and the relationship between these two superpowers affected the relations between Iran and Egypt. The present written seeks to study the role of external factors in creating obstacles in relations between Iran and Egypt during the era of Gamal Abdul Nasser and the role of restraint in the United States and the Soviet Union in this regard. The result of the study is that four factors influence the divergence of Iran- Egypt relations during 1955 to 1960. These factors include Iran’s membership in the Baghdad Accord, the nationalization of the Suez Canal (which was part of Iranian exports and imports) by Egypt. stating the president’s Eisenhower doctrine in the Middle East and the normalization of Iran-Egypt relations, which ultimately led to a cessation in political relations between the two countries.
