The relationship between spiritual health, subjective well- being and quality of life with death anxiety among the elderly in korramabad city

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between spiritual health, subjective well-being and quality of life with death anxiety in the elderly Khorramabad city. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between spiritual well-being, mental well-being and quality of life with death anxiety in the elderly in Khorramabad city. The research method was descriptive correlational.
The statistical population consisted of all elderly in Khorramabad city in 2017. The sample size was 100 individuals, including 50 elderly women and 50 elderly men of Khorramabad city who were selected by stratified random sampling.
The data collection instruments were Pulutzin & Ellison's Spiritual Health Questionnaire (1982), Cassinsky & Claire's Quality of Life (SF12) (1996), Edinburgh Wirwick's subjective well-being (2007) and Templer's Death Anxiety (1970) Questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression.
The results of this study indicated a significant negative relationship between spiritual health and death anxiety in the elderly (P = 0.001, r = -0.66). There is a significant negative relationship between subjective well-being and the death anxiety in the elderly .... .
