Conceptual model of Corporate Entrepreneurial Learning

Abstract:
Entrepreneurial Learning (EL) as a domain has emerged in interface of Entrepreneurship and organizational learning primarily focused on individual entrepreneurs as the unit of analysis but the outcome of EL may be embedded in multi-faceted entrepreneurial activities such as implementation of an opportunity in established organizations. Since previous models of EL are entrepreneur focused, these models cannot be applied at organizational level. Herein we conceptualize Corporate Entrepreneurial Learning (CEL) to integrate key elements of this area & show how EL takes place in organizations. This paper aims to provide a systematic and conceptual model of CEL in Innovative Businesses in Home Video Entertainment Channel (HVEC) based on Grounded Theory strategy. The research process was by theoretical sampling method to carry out in-depth interviews with 20 Executive managers and experts of HVEC. The results show that Interactive Learning Opportunity-oriented can be considered as the core element of this GT model. The other elements of this model included; Entrepreneurial Climate and Environmental Change as casual factors; Effectual Learning, Adaptive Learning and Levering Learning as a strategies; Networking and Learning Organizational Architecture as the context elements; Socio-cultural factors and Government as the intervention factors; and finally Combinative Dynamic Capability ( Adaptive Capability, Absorptive Capability and Innovative Capability) has been found as an outcome of the model.
