Abstract:
Abstract: Shared situation awareness among members in network-centric environments leads to virtual collaboration, virtual organization, and self-synchronization. Decision makers in command posts need a technology to determine cognitive thresholds based on environmental, team, and individual factors to achieve required shared situation awareness among team members. This paper presents a methodology for developing a generic cognitive command post based on based on shared situation awareness architecture in network-centric environments. This methodology is based on an agent-oriented software engineering methodology named Tropos that covers the whole software development process. Our methodology covers the whole process of development from early analysis to the actual implementation for a deeper understanding of the software and interaction between the software and human agents. Finally, based on our proposed methodology, we have presented a generic cognitive command post for air defense.
