The Comparison of the Effect of Study and Planning Training through Using Electronic Content and Traditional Method on Academic Achievement in Biology Courses

Abstract:
This research aimed to compare the effect of study and planning training through using electronic content and traditional method on academic achievement in biology courses. This was a semi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test design. The statistical population included all female students in the first grade of high school in Urmia city during the academic year 2014-2015. Totally, 52 students were selected through cluster sampling method who were randomly assigned in two equal groups (each with 26 students). The experimental and control groups respectively were trained in studying and planning using electronic content and traditional method in 10 sessions of 70 minutes. Both groups completed the teacher-made biology test of academic achievement as the pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed running ANCOVA, using the SPSS-19 software.
