Study and map co-authorship network of researchers in Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Research Center of Tehran

Abstract:
Background And Aim
The aim of this study was to determine the scientific outputs of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Research Center of Tehran and map co-authorship network in the center.
Material and
Methods
In this scientometric study, the population included all scientific papers of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Research Center of Tehran, indexed in Scopus. Co-authorship network was analyzed and mapped using UCINET and NetDraw.
Findings: The prevalence rate of 29.28% indicated that scientific outputs have been rising trend in this Center. The network density was 0.0244. The results showed the authors with more scientific outputs have higher rank in terms of centrality index.
Conclusion
Totally, co-authorship network in the studied center has poor cohesion and there is no relationship among nodes. Given the importance of medicine in public health, it is necessary to consider the increase of national and international cooperation and immediate access to the scientific outputs for researchers.
