Formulation of Resiliency Models According to Identity Styles and Sense of Failure in Married Teachers in City of Babol

Abstract:
The present study was carried out to formulate resiliency model with regard to identity styles and sense of failure among married teachers in the city of Babol.
Method
To collect data, a sample of 300 individuals of teachers in the city of Babol was selected through random cluster sampling. The instruments used to achieve the objectives of research include Brzonsky Identity Style Inventory (ISI-6G), the Sense of Failure Scale, and Resiliency Scale for Adults (RSA). To analyze data, path analysis was used. Findings: The results showed that the informational identity style directly, the normative identity style with mediating role of the sense of failure, and avoidant identity style directly and with mediating role of the sense of failure affect on resiliency.
Conclusion
The avoidant identity style and normative identity style are severely suffered from stress when there is a stressful situation for success. Sense of failure causes resiliency and tolerance of individuals to be reduced against stress. So, they have a negative impact on resiliency. On the contrary, people with informative identity style have high resiliency and tolerance against stress.
