The Deriving of Modern Memento Writing on Iran’s Rock Arts

Beside archaeological rock arts distributed in some parts of Iran, one can see recent engraved memories which motivate this assumption that these rock arts were carved as memories. Interview with some alive hunters who continue the tradition of rock art until today support this hypothesis. Our view about the meaning of Iranian rock art represented in this paper is totally different from Rafiffar’s point of view. He believes in finding the trace of Shamanism in Arasbaran rock art. It is impossible that all Iranian rock arts from prehistoric period to present time were depicted just as a memory. We only believe that this idea is a dominate one.
