Study of Relationship between Identity Crisis and Psychological Welfare of Afghan Students Residing in Isfahan

Aim and
Background
The purpose of this research was to study the relation between identity crisis and psychological welfare of Afghan migrants studying in Isfahan universities.
Materials And Methods
The individuals of the present study were all the Afghan immigrants living in Isfahan city in the school year 93-94. All the sample cases were the Afghan female and male students about 180 people. In order to collect data were used the ISI-6G Identity Processing Styles Questionnaire (1998) and the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) (1972). Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 21.
Findings: This study came to the findings that according to Pearson correlation analysis, there is a negative correlation between mental health and identity crisis. It also came to the conclusion that about nine percent of all individuals experienced depression.
Conclusions
It is presumably right that identity disorder is one of the main factors influencing the psychological health of the migrants.
