An Analysis Of The Effect of Security on Tourism Development: Case Study Metropolitan of Isfahan

Isfahan is considered one of the safe cities of the country for tourists, but some issues for foreign tourists such as attacking tourists who visited Isfahan to see the eclipse, the death of French tourists and its negative effects and some issues Another thing that has happened to domestic tourists is the need to pay attention to the safety of tourists. This applied-developmental study took a descriptive, analytical and survey approach. To analyze the data and evaluate the hypotheses, the SPSS has been applied, and to rank the effect of components and indicators on tourism security “TOPSIS” model has been utilized. A desired number of 383 national and international visitors were sampled and then rounded to 400 hundred to expect more accurate results. The results indicate that international visitors feel less secure than national visitors. To measure the effect of social, economic, environmental, skeletal and hygienic security on tourism development the Pearson test has been used. Considering the fact that the significance level of each independent variable over the dependent ones is less than 0.05, the effective relation between variables is then verified. This means that there has been a linear correlation between the two variables of security and tourism development. The sevenfold factors of the coordination of developmental factors, the coordination of regulations and financial resources, the direction of tourism development, social and financial security etc are the key factors in tourism security. The results of Multivariate Regression Analysis show that relying on R2 amounts it can be said that 69 percent of the changes in the dependent variable are determined by the aforementioned variables. Considering the present potentials of the mega city of Isfahan and its location among historical, cultural and Islamic sites, it is clear that it is today one of the most important tourist destinations both nationally and internationally. Due to the fact that there is a two-way relationship between security and tourism, this issue must be valued as crucial since an only police view to this issue cannot guarantee tourism security. As a consequence, we need a coherent planning in the various factors of social, hygienic, environmental, skeletal etc issues and the attention to it can lead to an increase in tourism security and removing obstacles for which some solutions have been recommended at the end of this article which can contribute finally to “tourism development”. Such solutions requires serious attention from the relevant managers and urban planners.
