Abstract:
Populus euphratica is distributed naturally in vast regions of Iran. It is a native species in arid and semi arid of the country. Drought and salinity tolerance is one of the most important characteristics of P. euphratica. Geographical and climatic differences in P. euphratica distribution have caused morphological and genetical differences among the tree populations. Soil texture was sandy, sandy loam and loam.
