Predictability of University Student's Internet Addiction based on Self-Compassion and Perceived Social Support

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to determine the role of self-compassion and social support in predictiong internet addiction among university students. Using multistage cluster sampling method, 120 students (60 female and 60 male) were selected from University of Tehran and they were asked to complete Self-Compassion Scale (SCS), Internet Addiction Questionnaire, and Perceived Social Support Questionnaire.
