Reviewing Media Strategy of Anathematizing-Terrorism ISIS Group

After the anathematizing-terrorism ISIS group was shaped in Syria and Iraq, a new era of terrorism was opened in the history of international relations. The symbol of this is the participation and influence of media in terrorism activities; because the main difference between ISIS and its predecessors such as Alghaede is altering the use of media. While Alghaede used few local TV and radio channels, Arab language newspapers such as Alghodsoalarabi or Shargholousat, and finally Arabic Aljazire TV network, ISIS not only exploited traditional media but also used cyberspace and modern media as a part of its media strategy. Today, ISIS uses traditional and modern media side by side. This paper, thus, is going to review ISIS media structure and answer this question: What is the media strategy of ISIS? The findings of the present paper, done on the basis of descriptiveanalytical method using library archives and Internet, indicate that ISIS uses traditional and modern media simultaneously to progress its media strategy. Beside media institutes like Alhayat, Ajnad, Aletesam, etc. this anathematizing-terrorism group is active in social media such as Twitter, Telegram, You Tube, and so on. Absorbing new forces, exploiting intelligence and security of cyberspace, and receiving financial aids are some of the media strategy of this group.
