The Reasons for the Heretical Characteristic of Movement in Christianity

Author(s):
Abstract:
This article gives and account of one of the most important Christian feminine movements in the medieval age called Beguines and seeks to study the charge of heresy brought against them by defining the tradition and heresy of that period. Indigenous theology emerged after scholastic and monastic theology as a result of the use of local language instead of Latin, relying on mystical experiences instead of official sacred texts in the area of religions though, the transfer from the domination of the men of supper classes to the lower domination of the men of lower class and women and the dramatic increase in audiences. The Movement of the Beguines emerged when mystic women rejected the prohibitions of church and started a new collective religion life. They questioned the intervention of the church in the belief of salvation and developed a new approach to Christian theology and mysticism after studying the Bible, using intuition and preaching of their experiences in their mother tongue. Their main charges are: gaining freedom from the domination of the church, relaying on no human reference source, the belief that man can achieve perfection and salvation in this world, ignoring the need for performing religious rituals, and teaching anti Catholic ideas.
