Investigation of effective economical factors on sustainable development and water resources management in the agricultural sector

Water resources management is considered as part of the country's development planning. Each country, based on the available water resources, implements a strategy and a specific program for the optimal use of available water. In Iran, water resources should be considered as the development axis and a key factor in sustainable development. This research has be done to investigate the economic factors affecting sustainable development and water resources management in agriculture.
The statistical population of this research includes all experts in agriculture Jihad in Tehran province that total number is over 200 people.Of these, 108 were selected by simple random sampling as sample size. The research tool was a questionnaire completed through the interview. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by using the opinions of the supervisor and its reliability through the Cronbach's alpha coefficient in the range of 93% -75% using SPSS16 software.
Findings: The results of the research show that there is a positive and significant relationship between economic factors, expert's insights and sustainable development and water resources management in agriculture (99%). There is a positive and meaningful relationship between knowledge of experts and their level of education and sustainable development and management of water resources in the agricultural sector at 95% level.
The results of the collective effect of independent variables on the dependent variable through multiple regression show that, from expert's point of view, the variables of economic factors, expert's knowledge and expert's insights have had a positive impact on sustainable development and management of water resources in the agricultural sector.
