Identification of Zones for Creative Development in Historical Context With Tourism Approach Case Study: 12 Region of Tehran

Theory of creative city is a planning in the age of globalization that various aspects of human life is the most important characteristic in it. There are the growing importance of creativity and culture in the economy and the need to specific places and spaces. No doubt the historical contexts are heritage resources and appropriate location to apply creative approach. Creative City theory and the emergence of interventionist policies in the historical contexts are regarded by policymakers and urban planning because of social and economic dimensions and local capacity in it. In such situation, what could be a new actor to play the role of economic and urban management is Cultural policies in those the public areas and zones of creative developments was considered as basic aim for the development of cities in future. Therefore in this article we have tried that with emphasizing on tourism activities and with exploring new ideas in creative development, zones of creative development of historical contexts are studied and identified. Research model is descriptive, analytical and exploratory. In this research, we have used from model of land capability measurement and multi-criteria decision with integrating them with AHP and rating layers in GIS. The results indicated that Ferdowsi Square, Baharestan Square and the city park area can be considered as zones for creative development.
