Abstract:
This article aims to investigate the allegories in Mojeer Al-din beileghani' Divan which is revised by Dr Mohammad Abadi. Persian writers of 5 and 6 centuries made use of rhetorics, allegories and other literary devices to adorn the language used in poetry. One of the great experts in allegory is Mojeer Al-din beileghani; a poet of the early 6 century. This era coincides with the verbal and spititual beauties in odes by Anvari,Kamal-Al-Din Isfahani, Khaghani, Falaki Shervani and others. Mojeer Al-din pays a lot of attention to literary devices such as allegories and in order to introduce his style we should analyze his point of view toward allegory. The results of this study show that some allegories are coind by the poet himself and some others are derived from the works of Khaghani. Farokhi and Manuchehri.Furthermore, three kinds of allegories can be found in Mojeer Al-din divan: First, allegories which are common now. Second, allegories which were common in Mojeer Al-din day and allegories which are dead and uncommon.
