The focal analysis of the relationship between social capital and employee information literacy (Case study: meli bank of Shiraz)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the components of social capital, that is, variables X including cognitive, relational and structural components, and employee's information literacy components, namely, variable Y including identifying information needs, locating information, evaluating information and use Effective information has been used to determine the variation between two sets of variables in order to determine the appropriate pattern of relationships between the set of information literacy focal variables and to use the focal correlation coefficient to provide a prediction method for information literacy change.
Using a survey method and a questionnaire tool, a sample of 340 people was selected by simple random sampling among the national staff of Shiraz. Information was analyzed using Spss software.
Findings: The results of focal correlation showed that there is a valid and significant linear relationship between social capital and information literacy provided by them. The dimensions of social capital have a direct relationship with the components of information literacy. Also, the cognitive component of social capital and the identification of information needs in comparison with other focal variables played the most role in creating the first focal correlation coefficient. The results of the focal analysis with 99 percent confirm the probability of correlation between the two sets of variables.
