Investigating the impact of ethical climate dimensions on pro-social rule breaking

Abstract:
The purpose of present study is to investigate the role of ethical climate dimensions in pro-social rule breaking. The study is an applied survey. The population includes all the employees of Allame Tabatabai University in 2015 from which according to random sampling method 242 cases were selected and tested.The research tools includes Victor and Cullen(1988) ethical climate questionnaire and PSRB questionnaire of Dahling et al. (2010). The validity of questionnaires was investigated and approved by experts and the reliability was computed by means of Cronbachs alpha which caring climate, laws and codes climate, rules climate, instrumental climate, independence climate and PSRB were computed 0.87,0.87, 0.81, 0.82, 0.71, 0.93 respectively. SEM method by Smart PLS software was used in order to analyze the data and GOF of the conceptual model. The results showed that caring climate, and independence climate have a positive and significant impact on PSRB and rules climate has a negative and significant impact on PSRB. The impact of Instrumental climate and law and codes climate was not significant.
