Structural relationships between Maternal and Paternal Warmth with Hope in Girl Students
The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of parents 'warmth in student's hopes in the form of structural equations. In a correlational design, 248 female students from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad were selected by multistage sampling method and completed Perceptions of parents Scale (Robbins, 1994) and Hope scale (Snyder and et.al., 1991). The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the warmth of the parents and the student's hope and parents `s warmth explains 19 percent of hope change. Warmth`s indirect effects on agency and path ways were also positive and significant. The structural model has a good fit. It seems that the warm and receptive behavior of parents can increase the life expectancy of students.
