Abstract:
The monuments of the tomb of Iran in post-Islamic periods were used to build magnificent monuments over the graves of religious people, sometimes kings and celebrities. During the Seljuk period (5th and 6th centuries), the construction of this monument became a climax and In the period of the Ilkhanis (7th and 8th centuries), many statues were made, which were characteristic of the common patterns of the Seljuk era.
The purpose of this research was applied with a qualitative approach, the structural characteristics of the monument of the Seljuk period and the Maragheh Ilkhanid period were studied. The statistical population of this study is the graves of two Seljuk and Ilkhani graves in Maragheh city. Due to the limited number of them to four, the statistical samples of this study were all four tombs including red dome, circular tower, dome (Seljuk period) And the Ghaffari dynasty (the period of the Ilkhanites).
The research methodology is descriptive-analytic and also deductive logic is used. The method for collecting information was based on documentary and library studies, along with field visits, observations and surveys.
The four graves studied in Maragheh, which belong to the Seljuk period and the Ilkhanis, have similarity in terms of the use of materials and construction techniques with regard to the same period of time and location. It can be concluded that the architects of Ilkhani have adapted the plan and materials and methods of construction from the Seljuk period in this region.
